OLD MAN SEARCHING FOR THE REFLECTION OF THE MOON
AT THE BOTTOM OF TIDE POOL
This is a Qigong healing sound prescription for emotional cleansing.
Repeat this entire exercise as many times as you wish in series of three, until you feel clear.
Begin by standing with your feet shoulder width and your arms held loosely at the sides.
1.) Inhale as you bring your arms up, extended from the sides of the body.
2.) Bend forward and swish your hands, crossing back and forth as if searching for a pearl in the bottom of a tide pool.
Simultaneously, make the lung sound ("Shhhhhhh") for one breath in order to purge grief.
3.) Inhale as you slowly stand up, stacking the vertebrae one on top of the other,
bringing the arms up, extended from the sides of the body and over head.
4.) With loose, parallel fists, make the heart sound, ("Haaaaaa"), to open the
heart, as you bring the fists down to shoulder level, using one half of the
exhale.
5.) Continue bringing the fists down to waist level, changing them to palm
side up as you make the spleen sound ("Whooooooo") with the second half of
the exhale, to purge worry.
Repeat 3) to 5) three times (three breaths) and then go back to 1).
